Claims & Label Review

What we will and will not print, why we review every label, and the wording that keeps your listings and ad accounts alive.

The NutraHerbal production floor

This is the page most contract manufacturers do not publish, and the one we think matters most. Claims are what get supplement brands shut down, not competition, not quality, not pricing. We review every label before plates are made and we refuse artwork that would not survive scrutiny. That occasionally costs us an order, and it has saved several clients a business.

What we will not manufacture against

Any claim that a product cures, treats, prevents or manages a disease. Weight-loss outcome promises in kilograms. Sexual-performance claims. Claims to increase sperm count, regulate menstruation, dissolve kidney stones, shrink the prostate, reverse diabetes, cure piles or regrow hair in pattern baldness. Skin-whitening or fairness positioning. Claims that a plant stem cell product acts on human stem cells. Claims that an addiction-support product cures addiction.

This list is not hypothetical, every item on it is something we have been asked for. In each case there is a legal and a commercial reason to refuse, and usually an ethical one as well.

Why this protects you more than it protects us

Three enforcement mechanisms act faster than any regulator. Marketplaces remove listings that promise health outcomes. Ad platforms ban accounts, often permanently, for repeat claims violations. And customers who were promised a cure leave reviews that are very hard to recover from.

Under Indian law the brand owner is accountable for label claims. A manufacturer who prints whatever you send is not doing you a favour; they are transferring a risk to you while taking your money.

What you can say instead

Traditional use of recognised herbs. Composition and ingredient levels. Structure-function wording where a nutrient has established recognition, vitamin D and bone health, zinc and immune function, iron and reduced tiredness. General wellness positioning: liver wellness, metabolic wellness, joint comfort, digestive comfort, respiratory wellness, skin radiance.

In practice this is almost always sufficient. The brands in this industry that last are not the ones making the biggest promises; they are the ones whose customers were not disappointed.

How the review works

Send artwork before plates or cylinders are made. We check the mandatory declarations for your licence route, confirm the composition panel matches what we will manufacture, and flag any claim we will not print. It is free and it takes a day or two.

This is not a regulatory sign-off and we do not present it as one. For a new market, or anything unusual, you still want a regulatory consultant. What our review catches is the obvious and expensive mistakes.

Questions we actually get

Before you ask us

Our competitor makes claims we cannot. How is that fair?

It is not. It is also not sustainable, those listings get pulled and those accounts get banned, usually at the worst possible moment. We would rather you were still trading in three years.

Will you really refuse an order over wording?

Yes, and we have. If you reaffirm the instruction we will still decline that artwork, but we will offer you wording that works instead.

Is your review a regulatory approval?

No. It catches the obvious and costly problems. Formal regulatory review for your market remains your responsibility.

Your idea, made tangible

Tell us what you want to launch

Send us the format, the wellness goal and roughly the volume you have in mind. We will come back with a specification sheet, a per-unit cost and a realistic first-batch date, not a brochure.

NutraHerbal manufactures food supplements, Ayurvedic proprietary medicines and cosmetics for business customers. Product information on this site describes composition, format and commercial positioning for brand owners. It is not medical advice, does not claim to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and is not a substitute for consulting a qualified practitioner. Final label claims are the brand owner's responsibility and must be approved for the destination market.
