PCD and distribution networks work differently from consumer channels. Your customer is a distributor or a franchise partner, and what they need is a product list with clear pricing, dependable supply, complete documentation and packaging that looks credible on a chemist's counter. Brand storytelling matters far less than whether you shipped on time last month.
What a distribution partner actually evaluates
Price list clarity, margin structure, documentation completeness, and reliability. A distributor who runs out of a product they have promised a chemist will replace you, and no amount of marketing recovers that relationship. Consistency of supply is the single most valuable thing you can offer this channel.
They also need products that a pharmacy counter will stock, which in practice means blister packs and mono cartons rather than D2C-style jars, and compositions that a pharmacist can read and understand quickly.
Range breadth and monopoly rights
PCD partners expect a broad list so they can serve different prescribers and counters, and they usually expect territorial exclusivity. That means you need enough SKUs to make a territory worth working, which is why this channel suits a brand willing to carry twenty or thirty products rather than four.
Our ready range is designed to make that breadth affordable: you can assemble a thirty-SKU list from existing formulations without thirty development projects.
Documentation, which this channel takes seriously
Distribution partners and the counters behind them will ask for licence copies, GMP documentation, certificates of analysis and composition sheets, and they will ask repeatedly, because their own customers ask them. We supply these as part of the order so you are not chasing paperwork mid-relationship.
Get your own files in order too: your FSSAI licence, product approvals, trademark registration and GST details will be requested during partner onboarding.
