Third-party manufacturing, contract manufacturing, loan licensing, job work; the industry uses all three terms loosely, means you own the brand and we own the plant. You give us a product brief or pick from our ready range, we make it to that specification under our licences, and you receive finished, labelled, documented stock. For most brands entering this industry it is the only arrangement that makes financial sense, because a manufacturing licence, a plant and a QC lab are a multi-crore commitment before you have sold a single bottle.
What we take on, and what stays with you
We are responsible for sourcing raw material to specification, manufacturing under GMP conditions, in-process and finished-goods testing, packing to the format you choose, and supplying the batch documentation. The composition we manufacture to is fixed in writing before production starts and does not change without your written approval.
You remain the brand owner, which means the label artwork, the claims on it, the product-approval filings for your market, the MRP and the distribution are yours. This is not us offloading responsibility, it is how the law allocates it. The brand owner is accountable for what the label says, so you need to be comfortable with every word on it.
How a first order actually runs
It starts with a conversation about what you want to sell and to whom. If the answer is already in our ready range, we send you the composition sheet and a per-unit cost against your volume, and you are looking at roughly two to four weeks to a finished batch. If it needs development, add four to eight weeks for formulation, trial batches and stability.
Once you confirm, we need your artwork as a print-ready file and an advance against the order. We then procure, manufacture, test, pack and dispatch, and send the certificate of analysis with the batch. Repeat orders on an unchanged SKU are considerably quicker because the artwork, documentation and stability data are already in place.
What we will not do
We will not manufacture against artwork claiming a product cures, treats or prevents a disease. We will not add free amino acids to inflate a protein reading. We will not label a concentrate as an isolate, print a named extract grade on a plain powder, or describe an imported concentrate as cold-pressed juice.
This is not caution for its own sake. Claims breaches are what get marketplace listings pulled, ad accounts banned and licences questioned, and when that happens the brand owner carries the consequences, not the manufacturer. Saying no at artwork stage is cheaper for you than finding out later.
Costs you should budget for beyond the unit price
The per-unit manufacturing cost is rarely the whole picture. Budget separately for artwork and design if you do not have a designer, printing plates or cylinders for cartons and labels, product-approval or licence fees for your market, any additional testing you want beyond our standard release panel, and freight.
We quote these transparently rather than burying them in a single number, because a quotation that hides them is how brands discover their margin is thinner than they planned three weeks before launch.
