Private label is third-party manufacturing without the development step. You choose from the 123 formulations we already make, we print your artwork and ship it. The composition is settled, the stability data exists, the documentation is in place, so you are paying for manufacturing and packaging rather than for research. For a first-time brand it is almost always the right place to start.
Why private label beats custom for a first launch
A custom formulation feels like the serious choice, and for an established brand with a specific gap it often is. For a first launch it usually is not. It adds four to eight weeks, it costs more per unit at low volumes, and it commits you to a composition before you have any evidence about what your audience will actually buy.
Private label lets you test the market first. Launch two or three ready SKUs, see which one moves, learn what your customers ask about, and then invest in a custom formulation where you have real reason to believe it will pay back.
What you can change, and what you cannot
You can change everything on the outside: the brand name, the label design, the carton, the pack size within our available formats, the MRP and the product name. You can usually also adjust flavour on powders and juices, and choose between jar and blister on tablets.
You cannot change the composition and still call it private label, the moment the formula changes, it becomes a custom formulation with a new stability clock and new documentation. We will tell you plainly which side of that line a request falls on.
Launching a coherent range rather than one product
The single most common mistake we see is launching one product. Customers in this industry buy routines: a tablet plus an oil, a juice plus a powder, a daily multivitamin alongside whatever they came for. Brands that launch three or four related SKUs consistently report a higher average order value than single-SKU brands.
The ready range is built with this in mind. Most categories here have two or three formats of the same wellness goal, and our product pages name the pairings that actually sell together rather than listing everything we make.
Artwork, and the part that delays launches
Artwork is the most common cause of a delayed first order, not manufacturing. A print-ready file with correct dimensions, bleed, the mandatory declarations for your licence route, a barcode and the right MRP format takes longer to get right than most first-time brands expect.
We offer label design as a service and we will review artwork you supply for compliance before plates are made. Use that review, it is free and it catches the problems that would otherwise surface after printing.
